About Jason Crook, CFE, CPA

Jason Crook is a Certified Public Accountant and Certified Fraud Examiner with over 20 years of experience in federal accounting, audit, and financial compliance. He works with individuals, small organizations, and business owners who value accuracy, professionalism, and clear guidance.

His background includes service with the U.S. Marine Corps and senior accounting roles within the federal government, where he supported complex financial reporting and internal control environments. That experience informs a disciplined, practical approach to every engagement.

My Accounting Career Story

I began my accounting career after serving in the U.S. Marine Corps, returning to Indiana to finish my degree at Indiana University Northwest. While in school, I gained my first professional tax experience with H&R Block, then went on to work as a diesel mechanic before entering federal service as an IRS small-business auditor. That experience shaped my philosophy: helping individuals and organizations get things right before problems arise. Over the years, I also served as a defense contract auditor and later as a senior supervisor at the Defense Finance and Accounting Service, leading teams responsible for financial statements supporting the Defense Health Agency—one of the largest healthcare organizations in the world.

Alongside my public service, my wife and I owned and operated a restaurant in Fishers, Indiana, giving me firsthand experience with the pressures and rewards of running a small business. Today, I bring together military discipline, federal audit insight, executive-level accounting leadership, and real-world business ownership to serve clients through my CPA firm. I specialize in supporting restaurants, nonprofits, and government-adjacent organizations with practical, compliance-focused, and forward-looking guidance. I’m proud to serve the Fishers and Indianapolis communities—connect with me to start a conversation.
